That Silly Dog

On the way home from Idaho we stopped to fill the car up and purchased 6 chicken strips. I laid the bag with the carton the chicken came in on the floor. I later looked down to find Tiko wrapped up in the bag sitting in the carton. It was so funny!

Our First (or Fast) Trip Back to Idaho

We had not been back to Idaho since moving to Washington in June. All of a sudden I had this urgency to see my dad and make sure he was all right. So Dennis planned it so the kids would only have to miss one day of school. We left on Friday morning at 6:15 am and did not arrive until 9:30 pm that night. This was with only two stops total: one bathroom break and one in Boise to see his mom for a short while. It was a long drive. The fog pretty much stayed with us the whole way. So we spent Saturday and Sunday trying to see as much family as possible. It was just not enough time to get it all in. But I am grateful for what we got to do. I am regretting not getting any pictures of the Gould side of the family though! The only excuse I have is that it was late and I am brain dead lately. So next time be prepared for me to make it up.

My mom and I attended a session at the Rexburg Temple.

I got to see (and hold) my new little niece, Paisley who was just born on January 15.

The sunset was beautiful Sunday evening.








Then it was up bright and early 3:30 am Monday morning for the long ride home.

Dennis got to eat at Dick's Burgers By the Bagful in Spokane. Which he was pretty excited about. He ate there about 10 years ago and thought it was awesome and a great deal. To his surprise and not mine.. he admitted that it was not as great as he remembered and I had to admit it was not as bad as I remembered . Never the less, We won't be going back there any time in the near future.

The ride home seemed much more tolerable. The weather was better and we even saw sunshine for a short period of time.

It was a quick trip but, well worth it.

And The Award Goes To............

KAYLA!! She was supposed to get an award in December but due to the weather there was no school so the ceremony was postponed. Finally, we receive not one notice of the new date but two. We figured it was just a mistake. Wrong! She received two awards both for great attitude: one from the PE teacher and the other from the Fine Arts teacher. She was so cute, she even wore them to Kody's game later that evening, claiming she forgot that they were there. Congratulations Kay! I am so proud of you!!

Let the Games Begin......

Well it is now official, today the girl's basketball games began. We now have three children playing basketball and most of the time they all play at the same time in three different locations. It is going to be very interesting. Kelsee had her first game tonight (Luckily this was the only one tonight). She even got to start the game. She looked pretty cute running up and down the court.
