Problems Finally Fixed

The past week there has been a problem with my blog. It drove me insane trying to get it fixed. I was thinking about it in my sleep (or rather lack of). Finally after many hours and most of all many thoughts it is fixed (hopefully). Good news is that I learned how to do some new things with the blog and fixed it myself. After all of this I decided that yes, I am addicted to this blogging thing. Maybe a little too much!!

GROWING UP

This morning I put Karlie's hair in little pigtails and curled it. When I finished, I stepped back and realized my baby is growing up. It made me a little sad. She is my little buddy and we are having alot of fun together while the kids are at school. I know I cannot keep her little forever, but I am going to enjoy every minute of it why I can.

X Country Season

Cross Country season was great! Kody as a Freshman was the third runner on the varsity team. He was one of the two Freshman on the team. This season he improved his time by one minute, endured through a heel and hip injury and just flat out ran his heart out. He is very good at this distance running thing. He had awesome teammates, great coaches and it was fun to see his name in the paper every week. He is excited that he was able to letter and get a District Star. At the awards banquet (which he did not get to attend due to basketball tryouts), he was also given the "Matt Berry Award". It is a leadership award that is passed down and the person who received it last decides who gets it. It was a great honor and he was told by everyone that he really missed out on a great speech. (Thanks Brad!) Now he will keep it until he is a Senior and then pass it on.

The White River team was 2nd in their division and 4th in the league. They did really well.

I tried to take pictures at all the meets, but either I had the camera and got to excited to take pictures or I forgot the camera. So at least I got a few.

The Bellevue Invitational

Fort Steilacoom Invitational It rained the whole time!

The District Meet at American Lakes where he gave it every thing he had and collapsed at the finish line.

He had a really good season. I am so proud of him.

Now we are on to basketball season.....

Pioneer Farms

Today Karlie and I got to go on a field trip with Kayla's 4th Grade class to Pioneer Farms in Eatonville. They went as a start to learning Washington State History. I had never been in that area or the route that we took to get there. I enjoyed the drive (even though I had to follow the bus and car caravan). It was cold and muddy, but interesting. The kids had a great time. It was interactive, mostly hands on so the kids were kept busy. Kayla loved dressing up and doing chores. She made butter, chopped carrots, ground wheat, washed clothes, got her hair curled, found eggs, jumped into the hay, made yarn, drilled a hole and milked a real cow. Karlie had a good time also.

They both make pretty cute pioneer girls.

I just had to share my latest addiction. It is good to get it out in the open right? When my brother came to visit, my mom sent me the Twilight book. His response was, "Don't do it, you will get sucked in." Well guess what, It is the best thing I have read in a long time (not to mention the first book I have finished in a long time). I could not put it down. I am currently reading the second book and also can't put it down. I really can't wait to see the movie. Hope it is not disappointing. So yes I did get sucked in and now I am HOOKED and lovign every minute of it!!
