Pioneer Farms

Today Karlie and I got to go on a field trip with Kayla's 4th Grade class to Pioneer Farms in Eatonville. They went as a start to learning Washington State History. I had never been in that area or the route that we took to get there. I enjoyed the drive (even though I had to follow the bus and car caravan). It was cold and muddy, but interesting. The kids had a great time. It was interactive, mostly hands on so the kids were kept busy. Kayla loved dressing up and doing chores. She made butter, chopped carrots, ground wheat, washed clothes, got her hair curled, found eggs, jumped into the hay, made yarn, drilled a hole and milked a real cow. Karlie had a good time also.

They both make pretty cute pioneer girls.
