2nd Grade VIP

This week Kelsee was the 2nd grade VIP. We had to create a poster that told all about her and she had to sit in the front of the class and tell them what it said. She was so quiet (which is so unlike her). Then her classmates got to ask her questions. It was quite humorous. They would ask her what her 2nd and 3rd favorite things were. Then I read them her favorite book, which was a Halloween book, "The Lady Who Was Not Scaird of Anything." Then she passed out her favorite treat cosmic brownies. She was very proud and most of all very cute.

A February Storm

When I got up with Kody this morning the weather was calm. I looked out a few minutes after he left to see the snow coming down. It left a couple of inches but did not stay on the roads and it was gone by the afternoon. It is still so weird to me that everyone freaks out like this was a horrible storm. The big headline for the news was....A February Storm. This was nothing. I remember driving down the roads with just a pathway because the snow was clear up to the powerpoles. It lasted forever. One year my brother and I would climb the fence (it was about six feet high) and dive into the snow. It was great fun. There were times that my family did not own a 4 wheel drive vehicle so we were stuck at home until the plows came and then waited until someone was kind enough to bring a tractor and plow us out. Shoveling did not work too well. Enough memories, this storm was really beautiful. It cleaned up the air and the sky was really clear this afternoon. It was cool to see the mountains that are normally green all white, which made Mount Rainier really stand out. It was so cool!!

Just Chilling!

Today I walked into the kitchen to find Kelsee and Karlie sitting on top of the fridge. Kody had put them up there and they were content to stay up there and just chill!

Kelsee thinks this picture is hilarious. She can't stop laughing at herself.

The Ponytail Queen

Lately, all Karlie wants is a ponytail. I think it makes her look older. So she has become the Ponytail Queen.I guess I should be happy, atleast she lets me do something with it, unlike Kelsee.
Kelsee has been growing out her bangs for about a year now. The other day when she parted her bangs I noticed some missing hair. She had cut the piece on the other side of the part right down to the scalp. It looks pretty funny but she does not care and I can't convince her to cut them so we can see her face.

Basketball Picture

Kody just finished basketball season. Now he's off and running for the start of track.
Just as a added note he is now 5'9" and hoping for a few more inches. My budget can't keep up with the pants size or should I say length. I finally bought him some extra long church pants and I am hoping they last more than a couple months.

The Invention

Kelsee was sitting on the floor being very quiet and suddenly stated "I invented something...jacketpants!" She had put the sleeves of her favorite sweatshirt on her legs. It was so funny because she was so excited and serious. So go out and get those jacketpants!
