So my kids don't get my humor when I quietly say, "Run Forest Run" when Kody passes by us while running at the track meets. It is one time that I think I am funny and laugh a little at myself. The girls think I am crazy. For those of you who have attended track meets know that they are long, drawn out and usually behind schedule. So I have to keep myself entertained. The girls think I am crazy. They are probably right, but sometimes you just have to let down and laugh at yourself or you will go crazy.
Yesterday we went to Kody's track meet an invitational in Port Orchard. Here he is leading the pack in the first lap of the 800.
He's in the finishing stretch...and still in the lead by quite a lot. So now it is all right, "Run Forsest Run!!" He won his heat and took 9 seconds off his time.
It was pretty cool to see "1 Gould" on the winner board. So it was well worth the wait.
He then ran the 2 mile and shaved 16 seconds off his time. He was disappointed though because he did not get to run the mile which is his best race.
As a Freshman he is doing awesome. I can't believe how fast he is and more important what a great young man he is. I am so proud to be his mom!!
