The Oregon Coast

After much more debate Kody decided that we needed to go coastal. So Thursday morning we left for the Oregon coast. Kody drove the whole way there. We stayed in Warrenton which is right next to Astoria and right on the Columbia River.

There was a rainbow that poked through the clouds. It looked really cool behind the bridge.

It was really cold and windy!! Dennis got really sick on us. So the kids and I explored while he slept in the car. We did a lot in one day.

Cape Mears Lighthouse

Oceanside Beach

We walked through a tunnel in the mountain.

Hiked to Munson Falls a 325 foot water fall. It was really cool and a beautiful hike.

Kody, Kayla and I took another hike that was supposed to lead us to the ocean. We never quite made it there and ended up at a different parking lot than we started. It kept detouring us and we got so turned around. It was such a fun hike. We would have done all of them if the others had not been in the car.

We did get to cross a swinging bridge. Kayla hated it when Kody started jumping while she was crossing.

There were some really big trees.

We stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory and got some fresh cheese curds.

The kids spent a lot of time the hotel swimming pool while I enjoyed sitting fully clothed on the side watching them.

Just my luck on Saturday morning it was beautiful. The sun was out and we had to come back early so we could get Dennis' car from the shop.
